The climate in Cornwall isn’t just for visiting holiday- makers.  Japanese Knotweed just loves Cornwall’s temperate oceanic climate, which provides the sunniest and mildest climate within the United Kingdom.  We have seen Japanese Knotweed growing in January with its initial purple/red pointed growth, merging from the soil, when the plant should still be in winter dormancy.
